The elements of the Judicial Police Service in the city of Agadir, based on precise information provided by the services of the General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance, managed on Tuesday evening, October 13, to arrest a citizen of Swedish nationality, aged 22, as he is the subject of an international arrest warrant issued against him by the judicial authorities of his country.
The suspect was arrested in the "Talbourjt" neighborhood in Agadir. His check in the databases of the International Criminal Police Organization "Interpol" revealed that he is wanted internationally under a red notice, issued at the request of the Swedish judicial authorities, in order to serve a prison sentence for his involvement in cases related to drug trafficking, attempted murder, and participation in criminal gang activities.
The suspected foreigner was subjected to extradition procedures in execution of the instructions of the competent public prosecution, while the National Central Bureau "Interpol Rabat Office," affiliated with the General Directorate of National Security, was tasked with notifying its counterpart in Sweden of the arrest for extradition proceedings.
The arrest of this suspect comes within the framework of the General Directorate of National Security's engagement in international cooperation in security fields, as well as within the framework of the efforts made by Moroccan security services to pursue internationally wanted individuals in cases of transnational crime.
