King Mohammed VI appointed Salah Eddine Abkari today, Friday, as Minister Delegate to the Minister of Youth, Culture, and Sports, responsible for Youth, within the new government led by Fatima Ezzahra Mansouri.
Abkari combines administrative experience and political activity. He began his career at the Ministry of Interior before moving to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and then the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication. There, he held significant administrative responsibilities, including Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs in the Culture sector, and was also assigned the duties of Acting Secretary-General for the sector.
On the political level, he joined the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) in 2012, during his studies at the National School of Commerce and Management in Tangier. He then progressed through its organizational structures and was elected on September 27, 2025, as the head of the party's youth organization, succeeding Najwa Kakous, thus becoming one of the prominent young figures within the organization.
His appointment comes at a time when public policies directed towards youth face challenges related to social and economic integration, the rehabilitation of youth centers and socio-cultural centers, and the expansion of participation and guidance opportunities.
The new minister will have the task of transforming these issues into practical programs that meet the expectations of Moroccan youth.
