The new Moroccan government, headed by Fatima Zahra Mansouri, included 32 members, according to the officially announced formation on Friday, October 16, 2026, including 11 ministers delegate, in addition to the head of government, other ministers, and the Secretary-General of the Government.
This structure comes after the formation of a parliamentary majority composed of 210 deputies, comprising four parties: Authenticity and Modernity, Independence, the Socialist Union of Popular Forces, and Progress and Socialism.
The formation combines the continuation of a number of individuals who held government positions in the previous phase, including Abdelouafi Laftit, Nasser Bourita, Abdelatif Ouahbi, Nizar Baraka, and Ryad Mezzour, with new names or those returning to government work, including Fouzi Lekjaa, who took over the Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Public Administration Reform, and Nabil Benabdellah, who was entrusted with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, Vocational Training, and Higher Education.
The number of ministers delegate stands out as one of the fundamental components of the governmental structure, as it allows for the distribution of some responsibilities to officials in charge of specific files, including foreign trade, maritime fishing, vocational training, preschool education, youth, housing, public administration reform, and social inclusion.
This structure reflects a trend towards combining the continuity of some government sectors with the redistribution of other responsibilities, pending clarification of the details of the government program and the priorities that the new majority will adopt in managing economic and social files.
