HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
The Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences in Mohammedia witnessed a state of tension among the students, following the results of the autumn semester exams, which were described by a number of them as unfair.
Students from the public and private law and economics departments stated that they were surprised by grades they considered disastrous and did not reflect their efforts throughout the academic year. Some students confirmed that they received a zero score in subjects they passed exams for normally, which raised doubts about the method of correcting exam papers or the possibility of administrative errors. Protesters pointed to the absence of official clarifications from the administration or the concerned professors, which increased the severity of discontent and dissatisfaction within the faculty. Students demanded that the FSJES faculty administration in Mohammedia intervene urgently and open an investigation into the correction process, while enabling them to view their exam papers and reconsider the results of doubtful validity. They also called for establishing more transparency and rigor in the evaluation procedures, in order to preserve the credibility of university degrees and the rights of students.
