According to a statement from the organizers, this immense exhibition, which will be accessible to the public from November 2, 2024 to March 8, 2025, will take visitors on a journey to discover Moroccan heritage and highlight the forces that have shaped the unique identity of the Kingdom.
The exhibition, organized as part of the Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year 2024, features more than 200 collectibles, including artifacts, manuscripts, instruments, jewelry, and photographs, all of which tell a multifaceted story about the Kingdom’s history, society, and artistic expressions, and highlight its effective role in revitalizing the country’s cultures.
The exhibition “Masterpieces of the Atlas” also contains a set of works loaned, unpublished in Qatar, by various Moroccan institutions, such as the National Museum Foundation and the National Library of Rabat.
The same source pointed out that a set of unpublished works will also be exhibited, from the collections of the Qatar Museums, the Museum of Islamic Art and the future museum of Lusail, noting that Dr. Mounia Shikhab Abu Dayyeh, Deputy Director of the Museum Affairs Museum of the Museum of Islamic Art, will be the curator of this exhibition.
