The Minister of Interior announced this Thursday morning that the central, regional, and provincial committees for monitoring electoral operations have, during the various stages of the legislative election, activated the necessary procedures to immediately detect violations related to electoral operations whenever the necessary data was available.
The minister explained, in a statement following the conclusion of the voting process for the election of members of the House of Representatives, that these committees initiated investigation or prosecution proceedings, as appropriate, within the framework of procedures aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the electoral process and strengthening the democratic path. He indicated that public authorities have been keen, since the start of the election preparation stages, to strictly implement the legal provisions governing the electoral process.
