The Secretary-General of the Justice and Development Party, Abdelilah Benkirane, affirmed that the decision for his party to join the Authenticity and Modernity Party government is practically decided, emphasizing that the party will position itself in the opposition.
Benkirane said in his speech to the media before the proceedings of the National Council of the Justice and Development Party that "the decision not to join the government is practically decided in the minds of each one of us, and no one in the party's General Secretariat said 'wait, let's not make the decision until we are ready or waiting for a call'."
Benkirane continued that the General Secretariat is holding an extraordinary session of the party's National Council today, to announce a final and official decision on the matter, and to see who will want to join the PAM government, according to his expression.
