HIBAPRESS – Mohammed Daher
HIBAPRESS learned from reliable sources that the Governor of the Marrakech-Safi region, Lahbil El Khatib, issued directives to the concerned authorities to raid a shisha cafe located at the intersection of Abdel Karim Al Khattabi Street and Safi Street, near the "McDonald's" American restaurant.
According to the same sources, local authorities, represented by the commander of the Al Hai Al Askari administrative district, supported by auxiliary forces, carried out a raid on the cafe late last Saturday night, based on information indicating the presence of illegal activities.
The raid resulted in the confiscation of large quantities of unlicensed materials, including various types of smuggled molasses and shisha devices, in addition to other equipment used in this prohibited activity.
The same sources added that a detailed report on the cafe's illegal activity was sent to the governor, and a gubernatorial decision is certain to be issued at the beginning of next week regarding the closure of the cafe and the cessation of its otherwise licensed activity.
This intervention reveals the governor's meticulous attention, Lahbil El Khatib, to every detail in the city center, and his daily close monitoring of events through a series of decisive field and administrative decisions aimed at enforcing the rule of law and strictly activating legal mechanisms against all lawbreakers.
