Concurrently with the celebration of World Mental Health Day, the city of Tamesna witnessed the announcement of the "ORY+" project, a Moroccan technological system based on clinical artificial intelligence. It aims to support mental health professionals and provide specialized digital tools to keep pace with medical practice and improve the quality of care provided to patients.
The launch of this achievement comes in the context of the accelerating digital transformations in the Kingdom's health sector. The project, which is the result of years of local research and development, seeks to transform scientific expertise and technological progress into practical solutions applicable within national clinics and hospital institutions, with the aspiration to open up to international experiences and markets.
The presentation meeting was the first occasion to brief a group of psychiatrists, specialists, and members of the scientific team on the platform's details and digital capabilities, and to discuss ways to invest it in organizing daily work and assisting specialists in making clinical decisions and supporting the interpretation of medical data with higher accuracy.
In parallel with these promising opportunities offered by modern technologies, participating experts and professionals agreed that the use of artificial intelligence in this sensitive field remains conditional on strict adherence to ethical and scientific standards and ensuring the absolute protection of patients' personal data confidentiality. They also emphasized that these digital tools are considered only as assistive and complementary tools, and under no circumstances can they replace human expertise or direct clinical evaluation provided by the specialist doctor, which confirms the ability of Moroccan competencies to keep pace with modern technological challenges and link scientific innovation with professional and human responsibility.
