Flash floods trapped three full siblings inside their private car in Wadi Al-Zawiya Al-Nahliyya, affiliated with the Majat community in the Chichaoua province, on Saturday night, following heavy rainfall in the region, before provincial and local authorities intervened to rescue them.
The force of the floods and the rising water levels necessitated the mobilization of the concerned departments and field intervention to ensure the safety of the three siblings, after they were unable to continue their journey due to the ongoing rainfall throughout the night.
In this context, the National Observatory for Combating Corruption and Protecting Public Funds in the Marrakech-Safi region praised the swift reaction of the Governor of Chichaoua Province, Boubker El Kreb, to the incident, and the mobilization of various concerned departments to intervene and rescue the three siblings.
The observatory, in its stance on the incident, also commended the coordination between local and provincial authorities and the various intervening departments, emphasizing its monitoring of the incident's developments and stressing the importance of protecting citizens' lives and ensuring their safety, especially in light of difficult weather conditions.
