In line with its ongoing commitment to facilitating citizen travel and supporting the tourism and economic dynamism of the Kingdom's various regions, Royal Air Maroc is launching a new direct air route connecting Casablanca and Essaouira starting November 1, 2026.
This new route is part of an agreement signed with the Marrakech-Safi region, with two flights scheduled per week on Wednesdays and Sundays.
"The launch of the air route connecting Casablanca and Essaouira is part of our mission to promote Moroccan tourism internationally and facilitate travel within the Kingdom. By making this exceptional Atlantic coast city more accessible, we contribute to enhancing the radiance of Moroccan destinations and supporting local tourism activity. This new air route embodies our commitment to strengthening connectivity between different territories and meeting the aspirations of travelers, whether they are tourists, families, or professionals, while ensuring a travel experience that meets the highest quality standards," affirms Mr. Hamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc.
To make travel to this destination accessible to as many passengers as possible, Royal Air Maroc is offering fixed and very attractive prices, set at 800 dirhams for a round trip in economy class and 1600 dirhams for a round trip in business class.
In response to the aspirations of economic and tourism stakeholders in Essaouira, the launch of this air route will contribute to the development of a destination rich in promising tourist potential, thanks to its natural, historical, and cultural assets, notably its ancient medina, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2001.
Thanks to this new route, Essaouira will benefit from direct air connectivity with Casablanca, in addition to strengthening its connection to 86 international destinations within Royal Air Maroc's network, via the airline's hub in Casablanca.
This new air route, like other domestic air routes, contributes to reducing the isolation of regions by improving their connectivity to various destinations and facilitating access to them, while supporting their territorial and tourism development. It also allows for the consolidation and expansion of the domestic air network, and the strengthening of connectivity between the Kingdom's different regions, thereby promoting territorial integration.
