The new governmental formation revealed a mix of continuity and change, with a number of ministers retaining their portfolios, while other names move to new responsibilities, in a context characterized by increasing economic, social, and developmental challenges.
Among the most prominent figures who continued their governmental tasks are Abdelouafi Laftit at the head of the Ministry of Interior, Nasser Bourita at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nizar Baraka in the Ministry of Equipment and Water, and Abdellatif Ouahbi at the Ministry of Justice, alongside Ahmed Toufiq at the head of the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs, and Abdelatif Loudiyi, at the head of the National Defense Administration, and Ryad Mezzour, at the Ministry of Industry, Trade, Investment and Economic Integration, and Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, at the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sports, and Aziz El-Medaoui, at the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, and Abdellatif Ouahbi at the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, and Omar Hajra in charge of Foreign Trade.
In contrast, Fouzi Lekjaa, according to the list in the statement, moved from the position of Minister Delegate for the Budget to head the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Public Administration Reform, a move that places his financial management expertise in broader responsibilities related to the budget, investment, and financial balances. Abdeljabar Rachidi was also appointed in charge of Handicrafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy.
These figures, whether they retained their positions or moved to new responsibilities, are facing multiple files ranging from strengthening water security, developing infrastructure, reforming justice, strengthening Moroccan diplomacy, improving public finance management, as well as supporting exports and the social and solidarity economy.
Between continuity and the renewal of responsibilities, the main challenge for the governmental team remains to achieve tangible results and respond to citizens' expectations, making the performance record a key criterion for evaluating the next phase.
