His Majesty the King grants royal pardon to 1,484 people on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha

On the occasion of this year’s blessed Eid Al-Adha, 1445 AH 2024 AD, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God preserve his glory and victory, granted his supreme grace to a group of people, among including detainees and people at large, who were sentenced by the various courts of the Kingdom, i.e. 1,484 people.

Here is the text of the statement issued by the Ministry of Justice in this regard:

“On the occasion of this year’s blessed Eid Al-Adha, 1445 AH, 2024 AD, His Majesty the King, may God bless him and grant him victory, issued his sublime and obedient order to pardon a group of people, including detainees. and those at liberty, who have been sentenced by the various honorable courts of the Kingdom, numbering 1,484 people. They are as follows:

The beneficiaries of the royal pardon who are in detention, numbering 1,209 detainees, are as follows:

– Pardon of the remainder of the prison or prison sentence for the benefit of: 114 prisoners

– Reduction of prison sentences for the benefit of: 1,094 prisoners

– Conversion from life imprisonment to specified prison for the benefit of: 1 inmate

The beneficiaries of the royal pardon who are at liberty are 275 people, distributed as follows:

– Pardon of the prison sentence or the rest of it for the benefit of: 69 people

– Pardon of the prison sentence with maintenance of the fine for the benefit of: 06 people

– End of pardon for: 189 people

– Pardon of prison sentences and fines for the benefit of: 09 people

– Pardon of the fine and the rest of the prison sentence for the benefit of: 02 people

Grand total: 1484
