Spanish media revealed, on Tuesday, new developments linked to the continental connection project between Morocco and Spain via Tangier and Tarifa.
The same sources add that Spain has launched a call for tenders for the rental of four seismic machines with an option to purchase, and has opened the door to receiving requests for tenders until Wednesday October 2, 2024.
According to the same sources, this stage aims to study the bottom of the Strait of Gibraltar, to determine the possibility of crossing the tunnel and its depth.
In this regard, Spain has allocated a financial budget in the amount of approximately 488 thousand euros, to achieve this important milestone, which was preceded by a set of steps aimed at accelerating the pace of completion of the project with Morocco.
