As part of its program “A Banque Populaire branch, an upgraded enclave school”, the Banque Populaire Foundation carried out the renovation of four public schools located in the Nador-Al Hoceima region.
This initiative results from a partnership agreement between the Banque Populaire Foundation and the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports of Driouch. It enabled the upgrading of the schools of Maourou, Alouana, Tikarmine and Lagdira, which now offer an environment more conducive to learning for more than 150 students and their teachers. The project involved the complete rehabilitation of the infrastructure, in particular the repair of the ceilings, waterproofing, painting, renovation of the electrical installation, as well as the modernization of the sanitary facilities. In addition, the Lagdira school benefited, due to its geographical isolation, from the construction of housing for teachers.
Launched in 2015, the project “A Banque Populaire branch, an upgraded enclave school” aims to improve the learning and working conditions of students and teachers through collaboration between the Foundation and the network of Banks. Popular Regional. It made it possible to modernize 17 schools, welcoming more than 2,600 students, in the regions of Oriental, Béni-Mellal-Khénifra, Tangier-Tétouan, Marrakech-Safi, Fès-Meknes, Souss-Massa and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra.
