It is expected that the head of the Isly territorial commune, affiliated with the Oujda prefecture, will appear on Tuesday, October 14th, before the Financial Crimes Division of the Court of Appeal in Fez, following his prosecution on charges related to embezzlement and misappropriation of public funds.
According to information obtained by HIBAPRESS, the investigating judge in the Financial Crimes Division in Fez decided to prosecute the concerned party after hearing him on Thursday, October 2nd, and ordered his referral to trial to consider the charges against him. The regional brigade of the Royal Gendarmerie in Fez had previously listened to the head of the Isly commune, based on the instructions of the Attorney General at the Financial Crimes Court, following a complaint filed by a municipal councilor containing information about a set of irregularities that marred the management of financial and administrative affairs of the rural commune.
