HIBAPRESS – Mohammed El Harouali
The public authorities in the city of Marrakech have launched a large-scale field campaign to liberate the public domain and organize the activities of street vendors within the framework of respecting the laws and regulations in force.
This campaign included field interventions at a number of points that are experiencing the illegal occupation of sidewalks, roads, and public squares, with the aim of restoring order to the public space and ensuring its proper use. This process is part of the continuous efforts of the local authorities aimed at combating illegal exploitation of the public domain and improving the beauty of the city, and enhancing the conditions of safety and comfort for citizens and visitors. Local sources confirmed that these interventions are carried out according to an organizational approach that takes into account the social dimension and seeks to reconcile respect for the law and the maintenance of public order.
