Elements of the Khouribga Provincial District of National Security, in coordination with the police of the city of Oued Zem and on the basis of precise information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), managed to foil a trafficking operation of two tons and 540 kilograms of cannabis resin (chira).
This operation led to the arrest of four individuals suspected of belonging to a criminal network active in international trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
The suspects were apprehended red-handed during a security operation carried out in a rural area near Oued Zem, aboard a utility vehicle and two all-terrain vehicles. The suspects refused to comply and violently resisted the police using bladed weapons, which led the District Chief Abdelhadi Doukkali to fire four warning bullets through which he was finally able to subdue the traffickers and seize the drug shipment.
