HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyaoui
The Benslimane neighborhood, affiliated with the Al-Mriniyin district in the city of Fes, woke up to a tragic murder that claimed the life of a young man in his late twenties, after he was fatally stabbed with a sharp object inside a cafe, in an incident that mobilized the city's security services.
According to information obtained by HIBAPRESS, the incident is suspected to be linked to a previous dispute between the victim and the suspect, who, according to the same data, had previously served a prison sentence following a prior assault on the victim using a bladed weapon.
Available information indicates that the suspect ambushed the victim inside the cafe, directing a stab wound to his neck with a sharp tool locally known as a "tornevis" (screwdriver), which caused him serious injuries from which he later died.
Upon receiving notification of the incident, the security services of the third security district moved to the scene and began their investigations, which led to the arrest of the suspect, before he was taken to the security headquarters to commence the investigation into the circumstances and details of the crime.
The suspect has been placed under police custody, under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, pending the completion of the investigation and the uncovering of all circumstances related to the case, while the victim's body was transferred to the morgue at Al-Ghassani Regional Hospital to complete the necessary legal and medical procedures.
