The case of the "Azhar Housing Association" in Oujda has witnessed rapid judicial developments, following the decision of the competent public prosecution to imprison a contractor and two other managers of the association, in addition to an accountant, at the local prison in Oujda, in connection with complaints related to fraud, deception, and the marketing of fictitious housing projects.
This decision came after the referral of the concerned parties to the Public Prosecution at the Court of First Instance, on Friday morning, after the completion of the three-day period of police custody, during which they underwent intensive investigations into the complaints filed by a number of alleged victims.
The judicial body decided to refer the four defendants to a direct trial session in detention, postponing the examination of the file until next Monday, to complete the legal procedures and the defense of the parties.
In the same context, the prosecution decisions in this case included other individuals, including an architect and a person associated with one of the detainees, who were ordered to be prosecuted under temporary release, pending the outcome of the trial and ongoing judicial investigations to uncover all the circumstances and background of this case, which has sparked local public interest in Oujda.
