HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Mohammed Chouki, the head of the National Rally of Independents group in the House of Representatives, confirmed that all parties agree on the need to provide citizens with a supply of medicines that protects their purchasing power, stressing that Morocco has a set of laws enacted by the national representation, which are binding on everyone, including the law on the management and organization of government work, the law on inviting the public to subscribe, and the law on public joint-stock companies.
Mohammed Chouki explained, in his speech during the general session devoted to the discussion and voting on the first part of the 2026 Finance Bill yesterday, Thursday, in the House of Representatives, that these laws protect the national economy from cases of conflict of interest, and at the same time protect the rights of economic actors to practice political action and participate in representative democracy.
In this regard, he recalled that our country has gone through a difficult path to get out of the gray area of money laundering and terrorist financing imposed by the Financial Action Task Force, stressing that this reflects the promotion of our national legislation in implementing the necessary measures to combat these phenomena, which enhances the financial position of the Kingdom and makes it attractive to investments.
In response to the head of the Justice and Development parliamentary group, Abdellah Bouanou, Mohammed Chouki said that the pharmaceutical laboratory that Bouanou spoke about, which had suspicious deals passed by the Minister of Health for his benefit, does not have any deals with the current government, while the governments run by the Justice and Development Party actually dealt with it. Chouki stressed the absolute rejection of the RNI groups to pass such dangerous allegations, including defamation and misleading of national public opinion.
