The Lakhayta region, affiliated with the Sahel Oulad Hriz commune in the Berchid province, witnessed a state of alert among Royal Gendarmerie elements on Saturday morning, October 10, following the discovery of a body inside a well approximately 80 meters deep, an incident that mobilized the specialized authorities.
According to the circulating information, the body is likely to belong to a state engineer, around 35 years old, whose family had filed a complaint with the Royal Gendarmerie in Had Soualem after his disappearance under mysterious circumstances about two weeks ago.
Upon being notified of the incident, the specialized authorities proceeded to the scene, where the body was transferred to the morgue, pending the completion of the necessary legal procedures to officially identify the deceased.
Under the instructions of the competent Public Prosecution, an investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances and details of the death, and to uncover the real reasons behind the presence of the body inside the well, while awaiting the results of the ongoing research and investigations.
All hypotheses remain open until the investigation results emerge, at a time when security research is expected to reveal additional details regarding this incident that has caused a state of alert in the region.
