HIBAPRESS – Ahmed Al-Musaed
In a national context characterized by consultative dynamism to reshape the roles of youth institutions, the hall of the Center for Human Studies and Research in Oujda hosted, on Thursday, March 26, the activities of the regional consultative meeting organized by the Regional Directorate of the Youth Sector in the Eastern region. The meeting, which raised the slogan "Territorial convergence in the service of youth institutions", comes as a strategic preparatory step for the upcoming national conference, with the aim of developing a participatory roadmap that meets the aspirations of the region's youth.
The meeting opened with guiding words that focused, in their entirety, on the strategic dimension of the current consultative path; where Najia Nour, the Regional Director of the Youth Sector in the Eastern region, highlighted the role of these meetings in improving the public offer directed to young people. For her part, the representative of the President of the Eastern Regional Council reviewed the council's involvement in supporting empowerment initiatives, stressing the need to combine the efforts of all territorial actors to achieve the desired integration.
To bring the attendees closer to the field reality, a visual clip was presented, reviewing live models of youth success stories and their interactions with sectoral programs, which reflected the spirit of innovation that the Eastern region abounds with despite the challenges.
At the academic level, Professor Tayeb Berkan, from the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences in Oujda, gave a solid scientific lecture, during which he deconstructed the concept of "convergence" in the context of managing youth facilities. Berkan addressed the evaluation mechanisms and the challenges facing joint work between sectors, which opened the door to an extensive discussion between institutional actors and the community fabric on ways to transform theoretical approaches into effective field practices.
To deepen the discussion and deconstruct the major axes, the meeting's work was distributed over three strategic workshops, which were accompanied by specialized university and administrative frameworks:
The first workshop: focused on the roles of youth institutions in developing public policies (coordinated by the regional coordinator of the Social Development Agency).
The second workshop: discussed joint financing mechanisms and innovative partnership formulas (under the supervision of the head of the Regional Coordination Department for Human Development).
The third workshop: focused on the rehabilitation of institutions and the improvement of digital services (coordinated by community activists and trainers in training).
Recommendations outlining the features of the "new generation" of institutions
The meeting witnessed a responsible interaction from the participating youth, which revealed a great convergence between the grassroots aspirations and the ambitious ministerial strategy, which enhances the vision aimed at making these institutions spaces for innovation and real socio-economic integration.
The work concluded with the presentation of a final report that included a number of practical recommendations that will form the "Eastern Region Paper" in the national conference. At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants raised a telegram of loyalty and sincerity to the High Authority of God, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, expressing the strong cohesion of the region's youth with the glorious Alawite throne.
